I’m a product designer who thrives in complexity. Most of my career has been spent working on dense, data-heavy tools — supply chain platforms, performance review systems, insurance calculators, and security dashboards — and finding ways to make them clear, usable, and even enjoyable. I’ve often been the first or only designer at a company, which means I’m comfortable owning the full design process from research through to shipped product, while working closely with engineers, stakeholders, and customers.
From a very young age, I've always liked creating things and working with computers, using them as a tool to explore and express my ideas. Since I started, over 20 years ago, I've continued to be curious about what new things I can create, and what I need to learn to get there.
I grew up in Ottawa, and eventually spent some time near Toronto after high school, where I studied audio engineering & production, before moving west to enrol in SIAT at SFU, in Vancouver, to study design. It was a big transition moving across the country, but my interest in design went from a curiosity, to a passion that has only grown since.
When I'm not working, I try to write music, and love to listen to some of my favourites like Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm, Olafur Arnalds, and too many others to continue to choose from and write down. I'm also a big game guy, from board games, to video games, to sports of all kinds. I'm often the one getting people together to play games whenever I get a chance, and you'd be hard-pressed to recommend something I won't at least try!
Outside of games and music, I love to hike, go on road trips and explore BC and the rest of NA in our camper van that I got to build with my dad and my wife Jaimi, who I've been with for over 10 years. We've recently moved to our dream home outside Vancouver, and don't have any plans to relocate anytime soon.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope we can meet sometime soon, if we haven't already.
